Recognize these famous
white slip covered sofas and chairs?
Benjamin Franklin is
quoted as saying: 'In this world,
nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.’ Well, I say add the perfect white sofa to that list. A
white sofa is the best investment for a home and is certain to fit any style or
decor.
I know… “White just scares me, what if I
spill something on it?” Well, I have had a white sofa for the past 25 years
(with a survival of several moves, two children, a cat and three dogs) and through the
marvels of modern fabric treatments and upholstery design… a white sofa can
wear just as well, if not better, than any other color or patterned sofa.
I personally prefer a slip covered sofa;
the covers can be removed, thrown
in the washing machine (add a
laundry booster for stubborn spots), returned to the sofa and there is not a
trace of worries or stains. I do this about every two months.
As I mentioned early, a white sofa (as
well as white occasional chairs) can be transformed into any decor with just a few added steps. There actually are not very many home furnishings that you can say that about,
now is there?
Here
are a few ideas to instantly jolt personality into a white sofa:

flip for more or less with dual-sided, print pillows.
